REPORT ON AISHWARYA’S VISIT TO THE SCHOOL

She was a ray of sunshine, a warm summer rain, a bright fire on a cold winter's day, and now she could be dead because she had tried something that others did not  that was circumnavigation of the globe.

It was an auspicious and memorable day i.e. the 3 rd of July when one of the apples of our eyes Ms. Aishwarya Boddapati returned to this institution after achieving laurels for herself, her parents and her school.

Aishwarya has etched her mark on the walls of BPS and created a history. She is a part of the first all women's crew to circumnavigate the globe on Indian made Naval sailing vessel named Tarini on project NavikaSagarParikrama and hence paved a way to the women to follow suit. They were on sea for eight solid months with six legs in between to fill in the necessary stocks.

She joined the BPS&JC in Class VIII way back in 2001 and completed her Class XI in 2005. While in school, she was a very calm and obedient little girl but never left any competition or test unattempted. On the occasion of her visit, a short and crisp program was chalked out which comprised of a few songs, a welcome dance and speeches by the school Head girl and Mr. K. Hanumanth Raya sir.

"Having realistic, ordinary expectations taken out of her reach by seemingly unrealistic, extraordinary circumstances."

That was the spirit of Aishwarya. She grabbed the opportunity to come on to the dias without any formal invitation and shared all her experiences of the nail- biting voyage like a child to the children of the school. She said that her guiding force was " Infinite gratitude, infinite hope. "

After a break of 15 minutes, the children were called back to Kala Bharathi to watch power point presentations on her voyage and how they had prepared for two years physically and psychologically to undergo such an ordeal which gave all the children goose bumps. She spent around three hours in the school and left a wonderful message of " being radically different from others in order to attain success. "
